About GTA Child Care Services
Who we are
At Salvation Army GTA Licensed Childcare Services, we believe every child is uniquely created with purpose, potential, and promise. Across our centres in Mississauga, Brampton, and Scarborough, we are committed to providing high-quality, affordable childcare in our safe and nurturing environments where children can grow and thrive. Our programs support children from infancy through age 12.
In our warm and welcoming environments, children are nurtured in their social, emotional, physical, cognitive, spiritual, and moral development—laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning and character.
Our history

Partnering with families
We are more than a childcare provider—we are a community partner. Rooted in respect, compassion, and dignity, we work alongside families to support the whole child. Our goal is to create environments where children feel safe, valued, and inspired; growing into kind, capable, and confident individuals.

Our local story
Licensed childcares within The Salvation Army in the GTA began as an extension of church-based children’s programming—an intentional response to the growing needs of families in our communities. What started as a ministry of care has grown into a network of trusted childcare centres serving hundreds of families each year.
Our locations reflect a longstanding commitment to community:
- Erin Mills – Established in 1976
- Mississauga Temple – Established in 1978
- Agincourt Temple – Established in 1980
- Brampton Noah’s Ark – Established in 1983
- Scarborough Citadel – Established in 1994
Over the decades, our centres have been renovated and expanded to better serve the evolving needs of families across the GTA.
